This workshop is all about having fun and being creative. You will be guided with demonstrations, support and examples, on how to make a animal themed sculpture from clay.
(Which can be turned into wall art, a bird feeder / salt or sugar pot / pencil holder / money box / plant pot /incense burner / tea light holder (the possibilities are endless))
You choose the animal you want to make or alternatively, copy one of my examples, personalising it along the way.
However, you can make something completely different too. Just check with me before the session so I can make sure it'll work.
You will only be able to paint your creation once it is dry which takes around 1 week.
Please be aware that I will not be firing your items in a kiln.
This is how I keep the cost down for my workshops.
However, they will be protected using varnish and resin.
'Paint your Pots' workshops are listed on the home page.
Whilst the timings are listed as 1pm - 5:30pm, you don't have to stay to the end. Work at your own pace and go when ready.
If anyone is running late, I will provide further individual support once the group are working on the first stage.
Suitable for complete beginners.
Adults & Children over 10 years.
Please be aware that I will not be firing your work in a kiln. This is how I keep my pricing down. However, kiln firing is not necessary. You can make your items waterproof and suitable for food storage in different ways. I can make the inside of items food safe during the Painting Sessions. You can make them waterproof with yacht varnish, at home once the paint and resin is fully dry.
